Sberbank Europe (SB EU) entered the European market by the acquisition of Volksbank a.g. which covers 8 countries in CEE/SEE regions. Existing situation in particular subsidiaries was not in line with Russian Federation standards; immediately after the acquisition the consolidation projects started. The ATM business was included as well.
The main goal of the project was to create a strategy for stabilization and development of ATM networks within the SB EU group. The first step was to focus on detail description of the status quo in all subsidiaries of SB EU. After the summarization of relevant facts the project continued with a definition of standards for stabilization and further development (P&L / coverage of local markets / number of ATMs).
Outcomes showed detailed analysis of statistical data, stabilization standards for the existing situation in particular countries and a strategy for ATM business development. An important part of the project was the development of a business model, which was focused on cooperation with a strategic partner. From the prospective of daily business was created guidelines with the main points of a stabilization plan, which is implemented in each subsidiary of SB EU.
